Types of fireworks
For our outdoor fireworks shows, we use various types of fireworks; semi-professional, PSE, and Large Fireworks.
Semi-professional fireworks are classified based on specific characteristics such as diameter and powder weight. Despite the average size and amount of pyrotechnic material, these fireworks can deliver a breathtaking show with the right combinations. This is the type of fireworks we use most often in our outdoor fireworks shows.
PSE (Pyrotechnic Special Effects) is professional fireworks not suitable for consumer use. This type often includes so-called single-shot effects that can be fired with millisecond precision.Because of strict safety requirements, these fireworks can be used for a variety of purposes, both outdoors and indoors, and even at short safety distances. An additional advantage is that this type of fireworks has a very clean burn.
Groot Vuurwerk belongs to the heaviest category of fireworks for use in the Netherlands and is intended for professional use only.It includes fireworks that explode at great heights and often have a significant diameter in the air.Often known as “Shells” (Mortierbommen), it also includes heavier cakes and flowerbeds. These types of fireworks cannot be used at every event because of the required minimum safety distance of 120 meters.
You see what you get
Even without actually setting off fireworks, today we are able to give our customers a realistic impression in advance of what the fireworks show will look like in reality.
In our studio, we develop and program your fireworks show. Here we use advanced 3D visualization, making the on-site display almost identical to the 3D modeling.
In addition, we provide detailed technical production drawings, both in 2D and 3D, to complete the process.
A safe show
A safe show is our top priority, which is why we look at the setting off location and its surroundings with extreme precision. This way we know for sure that we have the right location and that the audience can enjoy the show at a safe distance. Kiwa certified pyrotechnicians are always present during the set up and take down as well as during the show.
Outdoor fireworks shows must comply with various safety distances. Large-scale semi-professional and professional fireworks require safety distances of at least 40 meters in a radius around the setting off location.
Permit
Organizing a fireworks show at a specific location requires a permit. PyroWorks takes full responsibility for applying for this permit. It is essential to consider the application deadlines for these permits.
For a fireworks show with a quantity up to 200 kg of consumer or semi-professional fireworks, and/or 20 kg of Pyrotechnic Special Effects (PSE), it is required to submit a notification with an application period of 14 days. If you plan to organize a show with a larger quantity of fireworks, it is necessary to obtain permission for ignition. This application must be submitted at least 14 weeks prior to the scheduled date of the show.
Please feel free to contact with our Pyroniers. They can give the right advice on the type of show and which permit is best suited for your event.
